The Painted Mosque is definetely the most remarkable landmark of Tetovo and North Macedonia in general. According to some researchers the building dates back to 1495, and according to others, to 1564. This religious building is unique in its beaty and is placed in the anthologies of Ismalic architecture. Credited for the unique and vividly painted ornaments are experienced craftsmen from Debar. In the absence of written documents, the exact time of construction of the Gunner's Bridge is not known. Based on the construction technique and its appearance it is assumed to have been built at the end of the 15th or early 16th century. The technique of this bridge is perfect. During the various wars it was damaged many times.

The Čifte Hamam in Tetovo was built in the 16th century and is located on the left bank of the Pena River, opposite the Painted Mosque. The Čifte Hamam as a classical building fo the oriental Albanian-Islamic architecture was built at a convinient place for the inhabitants of that time, at the junction that connects the city of Tetovo with the other settlements in Polog. Today, this building has the function of an art gallery.
